Privacy Policy

We keep this short and specific. Your recordings and notes belong to you.

1. How your audio is processed

• Recordings and imported audio are stored on your device.
• To turn speech into text, QuickNotes sends the audio, in short pieces, over an encrypted connection to our transcription service, which runs on Cloudflare. The audio is used only to produce the transcript and is not kept by QuickNotes after the transcript is returned.

2. AI summaries, flashcards and quizzes

• When you ask for an AI summary, the transcript text (not the audio) is sent through our server to a third-party AI service to write the summary.
• Flashcards and quizzes are created on your device from the summary.

3. Information we collect

• Email address, to create and secure your account
• Device type, app version and usage counts, to fix problems and enforce plan limits
• Feature usage (analytics), to improve the app
• Website visitors: our website uses Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel to measure visits and the performance of ads
• Subscription status, handled by Apple and our subscription provider
• Notifications: if you allow them, we receive a push notification token for your device. We also link it to your account number and a few settings (app language, plan and app version) so we can send study reminders and product updates. You can turn notifications off at any time in your iPhone's Settings
• Ad attribution: when you install QuickNotes, Apple may tell us whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads campaign, with campaign details only (not who you are). We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites

We use service providers for hosting, analytics, subscriptions, notifications and email delivery. They only receive what they need to do that job. They include Cloudflare (speech-to-text), Xano (account and app servers), Amplitude (analytics), RevenueCat (subscriptions) and OneSignal (push notifications).

4. What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models.

5. Your control

• Delete recordings and notes at any time; delete your account by contacting support@quicknotesapp.io
• Export transcripts, summaries and audio from any recording
